What does Kit talk about?

Kit encourages people and organizations to expand their comfort zones to increase productivity and profits through a process known as Laugh and Learn. His programs emphasize people taking personal responsibility for their results. He provides the means to multiply success opportunities rather than providing an overview of theoretical models. Your people will “get it”! You, the meeting planner, will always look good following one of Kit’s presentations.

How does he do that?

Kit "pushes" people to go outside their comfort zones and recognize the opportunities that are present every day! He also knows knowledge without application is of little value. His belief is that everyone should go home from work every day feeling good about themselves. People leave the program with a commitment to get the results they deserve! WARNING: Laughter is permitted (even encouraged) in Kit’s programs.

How long are the presentations?

Program lengths vary based on clearly defining the purpose of the session. Most of Kit’s presentations are keynotes ranging from 30 - 90 minutes. He is a great "kick-off" or "finale" to your conference or convention. Kit also delivers some half-day and full day presentations. Training programs in which skill building practice sessions are incorporated may take place over several consecutive days or on a once a month schedule over a longer time frame. We will work with you to design the appropriate content and length.

Who else has used your services?

Recent clients include Canadian Management Centre, Ingram Micro, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, Clarica, Investment Funds Institute of Canada, Bell Carrier Services, Town of Markham, RV Dealers of Alberta, Credit Union Managers Assoc. of Manitoba, and Atlantic Packaging.

How far ahead should we schedule our presentation?

The more advance notice you provide, the greater the likelihood you will get the date you want. Kit sometimes has available dates less than 2 months out while others are booked 18-24 months in advance. If you have a specific date in mind, contact us right away to confirm availability. Checking Kit’s schedule on this website can provide you with options that can save you money on travel expenses simply by choosing a date when he is already in your area.

Our speaking inventory consists of dates on the calendar. No date will be held until we receive the deposit. Once you have held a date, it will not be available to anyone else, so call us early to get the date you want. If you prefer to work through your favorite Speakers Bureau, have them call us ... we “partner” with many excellent bureaus and all bureau relationships are protected.

How much will our investment be?

Fees are based on a per day basis whether you use Kit for a keynote, half- day or full day. For the one fee, he will do a keynote program and one or more break-out sessions on that same day of your program. If you are planning a conference or convention, you can use him all day and pay only one travel and accommodation expense instead of having to hire two or three speakers. Information regarding any additional costs for pre or post meetings, custom design services and consulting fees are available by contacting our office. Call us for details regarding the fee for your next meeting.

All flights on Air Transat (or any charter carrier for that matter) are subject to a $2500 surcharge PER SEGMENT due to overly-restrictive carry-on policies and unbelievably uncomfortable seating configuration; (sorry, but Kit is neither 4 ft. tall nor does he only weigh 50 lbs.). He usually travels full coach fare discounted by client sharing where possible. Travel outside North America is in Business Class so he doesn’t show up looking like he’s been run over by a truck!

What do all these letters mean behind his name?

Kit has earned a B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) degree, a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree and a M.Ed. (Master of Education) degree majoring in psychology and counseling. He has earned the CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) designation from the National Speakers Association. Fewer than 8% of the more than 5,000+ members of the International Federation for Professional Speakers have this proven track record of continuing speaking experience and expertise (and he is one of only 19 Canadians). It is the highest earned designation in the professional speaking community. Kit has also earned the CSP (Certified Sales Professional) designation from the Canadian Professional Sales Association. You realize, of course, that having both these CSP designations made him the world's first CCSSPP!

He is one of only 14 people to date to be inducted into The Canadian Speaking Hall of Fame (HoF).

Kit started speaking when he was about 27 months old (a slow starter but he won’t shut up now), AND he is a nice guy. He likes to play golf when he’s not working. He likes to play golf when he is working.
